Wildpaws was founded from a lifelong passion for dogs and a belief that every dog, deserves the opportunity to thrive. The journey began in 2016 when Ella welcomed her first Doberman, Bear, into her life. What started as a love for one dog and her unique behaviours, quickly grew into a fascination with canine behaviour, communication, and training. Bear ignited a passion that has still to this day shaped the future of Wildpaws and inspired the path we have followed. 

In 2021, Ella took a different career path and became a Prison Officer. Whilst seemingly worlds apart from the dog industry, the role provided invaluable skills that continue to influence Wildpaws today. Professionalism, effective communication, remaining calm under pressue, and a determination to leave no stone unturned when addressing challenges - are all qualities that have become a core foundation of the buisness. 

Despite persuing another career, the passion for dogs never faded. Deep down, Ella always knew her goal was to work with dogs, understand their behaviour, help owners build strong relationships with their dogs, and create a community where dog lovers could learn and grow, and support one another. 

In November 2022, that vision became a reality with the launch of Wildpaws. What began as a dream quickly gained momentum, with more and more owners reaching out to explore the services and support Wildpaws had to offer. As the business continued to grow, so did the team. First came Kiaran, followed by Eden both sharing the same commitment to providing exceptional care, knowledge and service. 

A significant chapter in the Wildpaws journey occured in February 2025,  when Ella unexpectedly lost Bear. Today, Wildpaws stands as both a buisness and a legacy to the dog who started it all. Our commitment is not only to provide exceptional care and support for dogs and their owners, but to continue growing, learning and evolving as professionals. Through ongoing education, experience and dedication to ther dogs entrusted to us.
